Call For Artists

Call For Artists

Throughout the year, the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) seeks visual, literary and performing artists to participate in large-scale festivals and special events. Now, artists and cultural organizations can visit one place to learn about current calls for artists, upcoming projects and arts-related events.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and Wexford Science + Technology are issuing a call for artists for an indoor mural for 4MLK at 4 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. 4MLK is a gateway between the BioPark, University of Maryland, Baltimore, and Medical Center offering Class A laboratory, office, flex lab, and convening spaces, and is set to open in fall of 2024.
For this Request for Qualifications, experienced muralists, public artists, and 2D artists may apply with examples of their work.
Two artists will be invited to submit a proposal for the site and paid a $500 stipend. The selected artist will then work directly with representatives from Wexford Science + Technology to make final design decisions and install the mural.
The total budget for this 570-square-foot mural is $19,950. Expected completion date of the mural would be October 2024.
